All items are easy to see because they are eye level in the refrig. section and the light is bright My unit has worked perfectly for at least 7 years and I just LOVE it. I bought an Amana Top Feezer refrigerator back in the early 90's & I moved from one area of Los Angeles to another & kept that refrigerator For 15 years & never had it serviced hence why I bought this Amana Bottom Freezer Refrigerator. It's Quiet, Looks Good & keeps my food @ the right temperature. Think about it. You spend most of Your time in the refrigerator getting things from the top part, not to mention not having to bend down All the time to get your fruits & vegetables out of the bottom bins. I AM ECSTATIC about this Fridge. So much so I go in my kitchen & hug it every once in awhile. :D This is my Honest opinion.

I bought this a few weeks ago and I am not really impressed. The outer case to inner fridge has gaps rhat could easily have moisture getting into the insulation. the fridge space is poorly utilized. There is a five inch gap between the door and inner shelves. The drawers are difficult to slide in and out. The top control panel eats up alot of space. Door has to be pushed shut. Front is jacked up high. I'll probably find a way to raise the right side. Had previous fridge burned out from power line problem. Had to take what I could get. Smaller unit now. Bigger one doesn't fit.

I bought a new Amana refrigerator about a month ago. It replaced my old Amanda frig that was almost 30 years old! The new one is great, seems more spacious inside with the freezer compartment on the bottom. You can look directly at every thing on the shelves. The shelving on the frig door is sturdy and holds two milk cartons along with other bottled condiments and drinks.

So far, so good. We've had the refrigerator a few weeks, and it's doing the job. The only glitch was that, after we had the door switched around so it would hinge on the left, the vertical handle for the refrigerator section kept slipping up and off. After a couple of days of putting it back as forcefully as I could, I heard a "thunk" and the handle was locked firmly into place. It's been fine since. BTW, one of the reasons we bought the Amana was the fact that it didn't come with an icemaker. It's getting harder and harder to find refrigerators (other than small ones) without icemakers built in. We were pleased that Amana still had a model that met our needs.

Just What I Was Looking For!

This refrigerator was purchased to replace an older one of the same style with a bottom freezer in White color. It was really difficult to find a fridge in stock that met the specs and was 30" wide or less to fit in the allowable niche space. We have a 150-year-old home so I really wanted to stay with the White finish color compared to stainless steel which is the standard finish for new refrigerators and much easier to find now-a-days. Amana is a high quality brand and the refrigerator is better looking than the previous one we had. I like the door pull hardware, look of the glass shelves inside, and the pull-out freezer drawer functions great.

I am actually happy with the refrigerator except for when we reversed the door, the screws had left marks on the front of the door and also where the hinge had to be changed why weren't screws or plugs provided to fill the holes on top. I am very meticulous about the looks of my appliances and I especially don't like the screw marks on the front. I believe Amana was better when it was produced in Galesburg Illinois,

Great Practical Refrigerator ™€“ Worth the Wait

We previously had the 25cf model for over 15 years and it was starting to get unreliable, so I began looking for the same type (Amana, pull out freezer on the bottom, single door, Black color) only to find out that there is a month plus wait for the 22cf model. The sales guy at Lowes said that these are made to order and thus the month wait. New unit was delivered on time and setup in less than 20 minutes. The unit is less wide than our 25cf model by a couple inches. Did not really see much difference in the actual storage capacity. Works great, love the LED lighting (no more light bulbs!) and I did get a 5 year extended warranty as just a service call these days without parts is over $100. Hope it will last as long as our original refrigerator.

I bought this model Amana refrigerator to replace the previous Amana that quit working after14 years of operating well. I was limited to selecting the same refrigerator by my kitchen spacial limitations. I prefer the large bottom freezer.
