This product was very cheaply made. The rack is almost too small and the wheels don't line up on the rail so you have to center it for it to move back and forth. I wish I paid for the upgrade. Only reason it got three stars is it actually cleans the plates and cups.

Cheap and flimsy

I did not select this dishwasher myself; it was purchased and installed by the management company of my apartment community. This dishwasher is so cheaply made. Mine is brand new, and from the get-go, the bottom rack constantly falls off the tracks whether it's full of dishes or empty. I actually dread using it! Three different repair people have looked at it, and they all say nothing is broken. The bottom rack is just to narrow to stay on the tracks (which is weird since it's the wrack that is made for this machine). Now the maintenance team will be calling the manufacturer to have them come out. I do NOT recommend this washer.

Very cheap quality. Don™€™t like the heat dry and no way to turn it off. My electric bill skyrocketed. Doesn™€™t clean as well as it says. The manual says to just scrape dishes, but the dishes don™€™t come out clean and with the heat dry, it dries the food on.

This dishwasher came with my apartment - they installed it brand new. It is THE WORST dishwasher I have ever had and my last apartment had a dishwasher from the 90's that worked better than this one. Condensation is awful, dishes do not dry, wheel track is garbage - I have to fight to get the bottom rack in and out. Not sure what to do because it is an apartment, but I am almost willing to see if they would let me buy my own of another brand and install it. I just can't with this dishwasher. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY THIS DISHWASHER - IT IS TRASH!

There is no steam vent on this dishwasher, so it stays wet inside, and dishes never dry. Even the no-heat dry option on other dishwashers allows dishes to dry, with water evaporating & exiting through a vent. People will leave the dishwasher door open in an effort to get the inside & their dishes dry, & someone will inevitably trip over the door & be seriously hurt as a result. It™€™s a tragedy waiting to happen. GE should be ashamed for putting out this piece of garbage.

I agree with so many of the negative reviews. This dishwasher has a very long cycle but it does not include drying the dishes, especially plastics. It doesn™€™t help to just leave the door after the cycle is finished. Somehow the very wet dishes remain that way. I™€™m not even certain if it™€™s using hot water? I™€™ve seen reviews where you™€™ve left help guides but I can™€™t access them.

Since the apartment maintenance team installed it, it may not be the machines fault, but there is always water left in the filter area, and condensation everywhere when it's done washing. It makes a loud noise in the beginning during fill.

Zero Stars. I just bought a new house. They installed the the appliances the day before closing. GE installer did not ensure the product worked correctly. I tried washing a load of dishes the Friday evening. The dishwasher ran for one minute then turned off. I had to wait until Monday to call the service number (not active on the weekend). Their first available opening to service this product is ten days out. GE is such a low quality product. Additionally, GE installed it incorrectly, attached it badly to the cabinets, and broke part of my cabinets and the dishwasher slid around when I opened the door.

This item was purchased on a tight budget. Got on sale. The unit was relatively easy to install with no issues. I recycled the sound blanket from my old dishwasher, so the operation was nice and quiet. I have used it 3 times so far, and have always used the Heavy Duty cycle. The dishes came out perfectly clean each time, and completely dry. I saw some mixed reviews on bad drying capabilities, but I did not experience this with my unit when using the HD cycle, and when dishes and silverware were loaded properly per instruction materials. It possesses basic features, but that™€™s exactly what I was looking for. I find the more bells and whistles an item has, the more opportunity for things to fail. If you like ™€œover engineered™€appliances, you will probably be unhappy with this unit. I can not attest to reliability or longevity as it™€™s less than a month old, but hopefully it will last.
