The compressor went out on this fridge in less than five years. Unfortunately, we've painted ourselves into a corner with the configuration of cabinets following our remodel, so we are stuck with this unit. It was nice while it lasted -- it holds a deceptive amount of food. But for a unit this expensive to not even last five years... give me a break.

We needed a 27.5in wide refrigerator for our space and this one fit perfectly. It is very space efficient, has a bright interior and cools everything quickly. It operates quietly so far. The reversible doors are a nice touch, and the doors when open do not take up more width.
Only suggestion would be to have feet that were a little taller since the freezer is a little low to the ground.

I got rid of my large Sub-Zero and redesigned my little kitchen, so I needed to downsize to fit the small apartment plan. I bought the fridge because it is counter depth - and has no water or ice maker! Also because it is Energy Star rated. I have absolutely hated my past two GE refrigerators as they both leaked all over my hardwood kitchen floors!

This unit broke within 3 years. It cost $140 for someone to look at it and $400 for parts not including time spent fixing it. What they think was broken was the board and thermostat. I got a new different fridge instead. Warranty was only 1 year.

I really like the refrigerator so far overall. It's quiet and sleek looking. The lighting in the fridge part is nice, as well are the storage spaces and layout. I don't love the freezer though. A pull out drawer, instead of a door and then pull out drawers would be better. Also the bottom drawer does not pull out far enough, and is frustrating to get items in and out of it. I have less freezer space than I did in my old fridge of the same size.

As a mid-sized fridge/freezer combo unit, I really prefer the way this one has a shelved freezer section below the fridge, making the more often used fridge part very comfortable to access. This is an attractive unit with a very finely brushed stainless,anti fingerprint finish that is flawless. Door mounting is possible both ways with included hardware to do so. The way it came, hinged to the right met my preference, so that was good. Interior design is very practical and makes good use of available space in this counter depth unit. Everything appears that it promises durability in the long term. Ours is placed in the garage as an auxiliary refrigerator, and so far has worked fine. Hot weather just around the corner will test the mettle of the unit, but the walls and ceiling are well insulated and we're looking into a portable a.c. unit for the space. The Haier is pretty quiet, but ours is making some weird sounds occasionally that I can only describe as very faint gurgling sounds, not unlike what the human body produces in fact. It's not objectionable per se, just a bit disconcerting, really only a very minor and inconsequential thing. But it's there. Love the pull out drawers in the freezer, making organizational planning a snap.External controls for the temperature setting function are nicely designed. Also, the doors close easily and very securely, with almost too much magnetic attraction. Better too much than not enough, is what I think. So, it's a positive review for the last 2 months of ownership. Oh, and the handle-less indents for opening the doors are just right, and makes for a really svelte looking appliance, if that's o.k. to say.
Cooling has been perfect, and we like to keep food nearly freezing, and the frozen temp to keep ice cream very firm. So we're happy with the fridge, even with the relatively high price at the outset.

We loved this refrigerator when we bought it BUT less than 5 years later we started having problems with the wiring in the door. Last year our repair person was able to fix it for $400. This year we need a whole new door which will be around $600. I™™ve called Haier and, clearly, they have no intention of standing behind their products after the first year you own one. So, buyer beware! Love the design, the look, the size, but don™™t expect to spend $1K for repairs in the first five years.

My Haier counter-dept fridge (HRB15N3BGS). It is only 3 years old. The front display panel is out. I called in a repair technician, after 2 weeks of back and forth of troubleshooting various parts, something "internal" was wrong; to paraphrase them, "it is an expensive piece of junk". Haier will not do anything to stand behind its product even if it fails within a short amount of time. Another product destined for a landfill. Do not buy this product.

Since I bought in Feb 2024, it has always been warmer than the set temperature. There have been five technician visits at this point, always changing something different. Still wouldn't cool correctly. Continuously worsened until it reached a point where the refrigerator temperature was in the 60s. I have had to throw out all my food THREE times. Last technician visit was Jun 19, '24. Now GE wants me to wait until AUGUST for backordered parts. Will never buy another GE product. This is not anyone's idea of honoring the warranty.

Product is sleek and attractive. Depth is good for standard counters. Drawbacks are drawers in freezer restrict ability to store larger items and cut down on actual usable space. Limited space inside compared to standard kitchen refrigerator. Only 2 "crisper" drawers so vegetables must be intermingled with meats and cheeses. So far seems to hold temperature accurately without freezing or becoming too warm in any area. Excellent choice for a couple or single person who don't buy a ton of groceries at once.

This is a great fridge only noticed that the vegetables were frozen in the fridge drawer. Other than than it fits my tiny gally kitchen and enabled me to have a bottom freezer. It the perfect fit and I am very happy with it.

The fridge fits great, has lots of space, doesn™™t use too much power- however there is a really annoying sound, almost like a phone on silent or a gopher sonic spike that it makes for around 1 min every 10 min or so.

I needed a small refridgerator for a galley kitchen. This Haier refridgerator is smaller than average but because of the configuration of shelves it is big on space. The freezer drawers don't pull out very far but they hold ample items. A benefit of the singlular freezer drawers is that when you open the refridgerator freezer door little to no cold air comes out. Love the bottom freezer! Very eco friendly. Surface stainless steel wipes easy with a damp cloth. No stubborn smudgies. No bulky handles to stop the doors from opening all the way.

The size is perfect for our smaller kitchen. It has a very stylish appearance. The way the shelving inside of the freezer is organized makes finding things so much easier than a normal refrigerator. Having the refrigerator portion on top saves my back from all of the bending, and makes post grocery store trip bag emptying so much easier. I would definitely buy this refrigerator again.

I bought a Haier refrigerator right around 3 years ago and, due to a KNOWN ISSUE, it is now competently failing me.
The first sign was the front panel not working. After researching online I've found that this is a known issue that happens right around this time for many, if not all, people who own this fridge. If only I had seen before buying that the wiring in the door wears out because the way Haier built it is negligent. When I contacted support I received absolutely no help with this issue and was told I was on my own to get it fixed since the warranty was up and there weren't even any aligned repair facilities in my area that I could reach out to.
Now the temperature in the refrigerator is escalating out of control and is freezing everything. I'm going to lose hundreds of dollars in groceries, at a time when the price of everything is inflated and also out of control. I'm also going to have to spend my time researching and buying a new refrigerator and expediting delivery in order to hopefully minimize the waste as much as possible. I will definitely be avoiding any Haier, GE and Fisher & Paykel (all owned by the same corporation).
To be clear, I am now not even interested in fixing this piece of cr*p as I've lost all confidence in this company's products. Haier is selling an appliance they KNOW is not built to last.
What a complete and utter failing to continue selling these appliances when it's clear and known that the wiring in the door is a fail point and that it will break down within 3 years of regular use. Completely disappointing and shameful. The LEAST they could do is to offer repair support or recourse for people that spent money on an appliance with their companies name on it.

I love this fridge so much I'm taking time to write review!! We had an old top freezer fridge and a specific width to work with. This fridge gave us more space on the side and being counter depth opened up the tiny space a bit more! The outside is beautiful without a handle very streamlined. The inside is a beast!! It feels like I can fit MORE in here than my old fridge. Yes, you can fit a gallon of milk. The drawers are huge. You can get a huge bag of apples in there. The side door holds so much and even bottles of wine and soda fit. The freezer holds lots more than you think. We have two tubs of ice cream plus room to spare. Yes, I miss having an ice maker but eh, 1st world problems. (And we've never had a water in door feature so I don't miss what I never had I just use brita!) Definitely recommend!!

I've never loved an appliance more than this fridge. I absolutely love it. We had a very old top freezer basic fridge with a specific width to work with. This one is less wide giving me more space for step stool and apron and taller. This fridge looks small inside but it's HUGE and nothing is wasted. It holds MORE than our old fridge! I do wish it had ice maker but honestly making our own ice is not hard, 1st world problems :)

The size is perfect for the space that it is in. The top fridge and bottom freezer is great, no bending down to get anything out of the fridge. The storage on the door is fantastic. The handles in the side of the door are great, the fridge is at the end of the kitchen leading into a hallway with no handles sticking out to bump into.

Very impressed with my new refrigerator. Temps even throughout both ™fridge and freezer. This refrigerator is sooooooo quiet. I wondered if it was working and realized it was operating as my food was cold/frozen. Unlike my previous refrigerator (whose product name I won™™t mention here) that was noisy and continuously keep items in certain spots of the ™fridge FROZEN, it was somewhat noisy and seemed to be constantly running. So glad to not have to bend down to place or retrieve foods in the refrigerator. Loving my Haier. I hope it continues to run/operate well for years to come.

So far the refrigerator seems to be a quality product and has some great features. I gave a four star rating to performance because it doesn't quite keep things as cold as my old refrigerator did even though I have the refrigerator set to the lowest it will go at 34 degrees fahrenheit. I also gave a four star rating to value because I think that the price I paid was a bit high. Overall I'm happy with the product and would recommend it to others.

I was happy with this fridge until it started acting weird 2 years in. The temp is controlled from an LED panel on the exterior face of the door. That panel started acting funny after a while--sometimes it would light up, often it would not. When it would sporadically turn back on, the temp settings would be all different and we would find ice cream soup in our freezer and spoiled food in the fridge. This happened several times, forcing me to toss ALL of our groceries--and you know how expensive food is these days!
I did a quick search online and discovered some buried reviews expressing the same problem with this fridge. I took a quick peek at the wiring leading from the main fridge to the front display via the door and discovered severed wiring near the door hinge--a result of poor design and low cost materials.
This is super frustrating as it seems the fridge works--the freezer is cold, the "my zone" is cold, but the main fridge is now up to 60 F. I think the electrical problem is just sending the wrong temp signal to the fridge.
I spoke with Haier (GE) customer service and was told it would cost $200 plus parts and labor to have someone try and repair the unit. I asked if they were aware of the design flaw with the door and was told that it was my problem and not Haier's. I expressed my concern about investing additional money into attempting to replace the wiring when the same issue would happen every two years. I asked if they had a remedy for the door hinge wire pinching and was told that the product was not on any recall list and that it was up to the consumer to resolve any future issues.
I am now without a fridge, have tossed lots of spoiled food, and have to pay to dispose of a nearly new appliance because of some shortcuts in the design phase. This is such a bummer since I really liked this fridge when it worked!
I am not happy with the product and am upset with my experience dealing with customer service.

This fridge has been working out very well for my needs. It is reasonably sized, and uses the space well. The freezer drawers are very useful for keeping things organized, and having drawers in the refrigerator is also a benefit. I especially like that one of the refrigerator drawers is individually temperature controlled, so if you need things kept above, or below the temp of the rest of the refrigerator you can do that. The controls are easy to use, and having both a turbo refrigerator and turbo freezer mode is great when you™™re loading a bunch of stuff in, or have occasion to open the fridge or freezer a lot in a short period of time.
I feel as if the temperature takes a little bit longer to adjust than I™™d like, but this hasn™™t been a huge problem.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this refrigerator.
